Zigong Dinosaur Museum, one of the world's three largest, houses the greatest collection of Jurassic fossils. Zigong Cultural Tourism commissioned this cultural creative store—"Zigong Gift"—as part of its mission to "promote cultural industries and tell the city's story." Located at the entrance of Zigong Fantawild Dinosaur Kingdom, beside the museum, it forms a gateway to the city's tourism.
We traced back in time to find that light. Primeval, cavernous, sandstone—these were our immediate inspirations. By cutting skylights into the roof, we drew natural light into the space, circling the core structure with modern geometric lines. Rough sandstone and micro-cement, balanced by warm wood and stainless steel, create a dialogue between exterior and interior, raw and refined.
Light is the soul of the space; peeking is the essence of the cave. The design remains restrained, letting the atmosphere speak while leaving room for future exhibits. External light filters through polycarbonate panels—blocked yet not severed—heightening mystery and inviting exploration. Skylights cast natural beams, embodying the concept of peeking—where visitors come to glimpse history and uncover the unknown.
「光」，是世界上最多变也最恒定的一种特殊物质。
今天我们讲的这道光，大约两亿年。恐龙时代，地球历史中最神秘的时代之一。跨越1.8亿年，对后世的生态环境、物种结构等都产生了深远影响。现代人通过考古研究，对地球演变有了更全面的认知，恐龙文化也在各个领域影响着人们的生活。
自贡恐龙博物馆，世界三大恐龙博物馆之一，也是世界上展藏侏罗纪恐龙化石最多的地方。自贡文旅在「促进文化产业发展，讲好城市故事」的命题中，为自贡礼物文创馆，找到了诞生的意义。项目位于自贡方特恐龙王国入口，恐龙博物馆西侧，共同成为自贡旅游门户。
我们随时间回溯，去寻找那道光。
上古、洞穴、砂岩等时代元素，也是我们第一直观感受。通过在建筑顶部开窗，我们把自然光引入到内部空间，围绕建筑核心圆，再用现代的几何线条构成了整个空间的设计。适当的粗犷砂岩与微水泥，在木的温润与不锈钢质感的加持下，形成一种外与内、原始与现代的冲突对话。
「光」，是空间的关键，「窥」，是洞穴的精髓。
整个空间尽可能去克制，营造氛围的同时为未来的展品让路。外部大量光线通过阳光板阻而不断，增强神秘及进店探知欲。顶部开窗的方式，自然形成光柱，讲述「窥」的理念。
人们将在这里，窥历史，探未知。
